Glimpse of Everest Trek is one of the best itinerary for gateway to Mount Everest, on these trip explore Tengboche Monastery and get spectacular view of Everest and other Himalayan range. This trip commence after exploring Kathmandu Valley and next day 35 minutes spectacular flight to Lukla from Kathmandu, which brings you to start of the trek. We continue through the Dudh Koshi Valley and stay overnight in Phakding, having a first hiking day is intentional to get used to higher elevation. Phakding to Namche route consists of a number of high suspension bridges over the Dudh Kosi River that you need to cross.

After exploring Tengboche Monastery, we head back to Namche Bazaar for Lunch and shopping before we hike down to Monjo. Final day trek route is an easy downhill slope which brings us back to Lukla. The trip ends with a scenic flight back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival at Airport, you will be transferred to your hotel and will be able to enjoy or take rest.

Explore Kathmandu on foot, bicycle, or rickshaw, take last minute shopping or sightseeing of anything you may have missed at the beginning of your trip. In evening there will be farewell dinner hosted by Aspiration Adventure to celebrate the successful completion of your trip.

From the beginning of inquiry, you will have travel representative to talk. You will have warm welcome will also await at Tribhuvan International Airport at Kathmandu, Nepal where Aspiration Adventure English Speaking representative will be on hand all the time waiting with your name plate and transferred to hotel. There will be a Pre-trip meeting, so make sure to ask all the questions. Then you will meet your trek guide and had some trip briefing & discussion. We will let you know about the time of meeting upon your arrival at hotel. You can also take this opportunity to hire or buy any trekking equipment at market or explore the tourist colorful market Thamel Bazaar down Town. Overnight at 3 Star Hotel in Kathmandu.

After Breakfast at Hotel, we set out for a Sightseeing of Kathmandu Valley as per our itinerary includes the tour of Pashupatinath temple, Swayambhunath, Boudhanath Stupa and Kathmandu Durbar Square. Instead of Kathmandu Durbar Sqaure you will have option to visit Patan Durbar Square. All these sites are listed in UNESCO World Heritage Site list. After the tour, you will return back to the hotel. Later on, You will meet again with guide to finalize your clothing and trekking gears (down jacket, trekking boots, sleeping bags etc.) required during the trek. Early in Morning, We will drive to domestic terminal at Kathmandu Airport for regular flight to Lukla (2,800m). Upon arrival at Lukla, We will meet our porters and take short refreshment break. Lunch hour depends upon the time of arrival at Lukla, either in Lukla or a bit of a further walk down en-route to Phakding. background. This first Day hike to Phakding is specifically designed for the purpose of acclimatization. Experience is simply awe-inspiring overlooking beautiful scenery along the route to Phakding located by Dudh Koshi River! Today's trek is relatively short around 3 and ½ hours walking; it is an introduction of typical trek in Everest. Lot more thrill is yet to come. Overnight at Lodge in Phakding. ( Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner included)

After Breakfast in Phakding, We begin our trail following the Dudh Koshi gradually up to to Toktok Village with the excellent view of East Thamserku traverse above the streams to Benkar. Today trekking route consists of a number of high suspension bridges and lead us to village of Monjo, entrance to the Sagarmatha National Park. The trails climbs through thick dense forests make it challenging yet fun, adventurous as you will get the first glimpses of Mount Everest. After arrival at Namche Bazaar a famous Sherpa town or the gateway to Everest. We will check-in at our accommodations and explore the town. There is a facilities of good restaurant, pubs, cyber café, post office, and banks. Overnight at Lodge in Namche Bazaar.

Today is Exploration day hike to Everest View Hotel and around Namche Bazaar. To get an amazing views of notable peaks like Ama Dablam, Nuptse, Lhotse, and Everest, we will also hike up to Everest Hotel followed by cup of tea/coffee and Also Easy Hike to Khumjung Village (Optional). After a proper acclimatization and exploration, we will head back to our lodges in Namche Bazaar. You can spend time easily exploring around the shops, try some Himalayan bakery items or go for a Coffee. Overnight stay at lodge in Namche Bazaar.

Today is one of the significant days of the trek. After Breakfast, We will trek to Tengboche which takes about 5 hours from Namche Bazaar. The trail starts with first slightly climb up for a while up to the Chor camp, then continue easy level walk to kyangjuma. We follows for a while easy level walk through Rhododendron forest to sanasa. An easy trail leads to us to the Dudh Koshi Valley towards the settlement of Phunke Tenga. We climbs steeply at beginning then a gradual ascent through blue pine and Rhododendron forest at the hill top of Tengboche Monastery which hosts stunning views of Ama Dablam (6856m), Mount Everest (8848m), Taboche (6367m), Thamserku (6608m), and other snowy peaks. Monastery open from 3 pm and it is good visit at their evening chanting by lamas. Sunset and Sunrise Views as well as magnificent view of the Mount Everest including other Himalayas form Tengboche is probably the highlights of your treks. Overnight at lodge in Tengboche.

In the Morning, Exploration of Tengboche Monastery and witnessing the Panorama Mountain view, We will take breakfast and move downhill through rhododendron bushes and fir trees towards the Dudh Koshi River. We cross Tashinga and take take steep up till Sanasa village and take way to Kyangjuma. We will pass through Namche Bazaar and descend down to Monjo. Downhill leads us to cross the high suspension bridge over the river and then follow the path that runs mostly level to Jorsale and then climbs to Monjo, crossing bridge over Dudh Koshi River, which exit Sagarmatha National Park. In Monjo, your trekking card will be again checked out. Overnight at lodge in Monjo.

The trail from Monjo to Lukla is embellish with small monasteries and painted Mani walls. You will be passing through small sherpa settlements and descend to Chauri Kharka via Phakding. The trail after the long suspension bridge follows the up wards route as far as Chablung, then turns off towards Lukla. On arrival in Lukla, trekking ends. You can stretch up your sore legs and have a rest for a while and later stroll around the village, listening to the stories of the locals and experience their lifestyle. These is final day of your trekking most trekkers make a celebration with their guide and crew members at Lukla. Overnight at Lodge in Lukla.

You can enjoy the final views of these amazing snow-capped peaks. We will take morning flight back to Kathhmandu from Lukla. After landing at Kathmandu Airport, you will be transfer to Hotel in Kathmandu. Take Rest or want around the city, do shopping for your loved ones and relatives. In the evening, there will be a Farewell Dinner hosted by Aspiration Adventure to celebrate the successful completion of Everest Tengboche Monastery View Trek.

Useful Information

Availability and Best Time of Year

This trip is available to start on any day a per client preference from the month Spring (March, April & May) and Autumn (September, October & November). These trip can be done throughout the year, but the best time are Spring (March, April & May) and Autumn (September, October & November). During these time you will find moderate temperatures and provide better view of mountains, less heat haze cloud and clear views of mountains. From October to December you will see more green forests in the region. Although this trip can be experience during winter and monsoon seasons too, though it is not suitable for everyone. The higher you go the colder it’s going to be. Above 4000 meters, you can expect snow and temperatures to descend rapidly below zero degrees. Be prepared for all weather conditions and have the right gear as there is always a risk of rain at lower elevations and Snow higher up during the trail.

Meals During the Trip

During our Glimpse of Everest – Tengboche Monastery Trek, you can enjoy typical Nepalese food as well as common international cuisine (Tibetan, Continental, Italian, Indian, etc) around the restaurants in Kathmandu. Whereas, On the trail all hygienic meal (breakfast, lunch and dinner) are included in the package cost. Breakfast and Dinner are served in the teahouse or lodge where you will be staying in, Lunch is provided on the way en route. You will have full options or freedom to select your preferred items from a menu provided by the teahouse/lodge. Food while on the trek is simple but tasty. Aspiration Adventure Ensure to provide best quality hygienic all meals during the trekking while Breakfast will be available in Kathmandu. There will also be a farewell dinner in a traditional Nepalese restaurant with cultural performances hosted by Aspiration Adventures upon your return from the successful trip.

Passport and Visa

If you are travelling to Nepal for (tour, sightseeing, travel, trekking, mountaineering, visiting friends and families) then you need to have a visa to enter Nepal. Arrival Visa is available at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu’s where you can simply get the “On Arrival Visa” with the application that require at least a passport of 6 months’ validity, and a passport size photo. You will be charged USD $ 30 for 15 days and USD $ 50 for 30 days as visa application fee which have to be paid in cash on arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport. For those tourists who have Indian and Chinese passports then you do not need a visa (Free Visa). Most visitors will be able to obtain a visa upon arrival at the airport. The Certain country (Nigeria, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Swaziland, Cameroon, Somalia, Liberia, Ethiopia, Iraq, Palestine, Afghanistan, Syria) are requested to acquire Visa prior their arrival from their local Diplomatic missions (Embassies/Consulates) of Nepal Government.

Trekking Grade

Glimpse of Everest Trek itinerary is pretty easier and can be done without previous experience. It is one of the easier trekking experience in Everest Region that can be done from the 8 years young to 75 years old. It is high mountain trekking so reasonable fitness level is required. It is physically quite moderate which involves approximately 5-8 hours trekking along the way. You should be in good physical fitness and have experience of multi day trekking.

Travel Insurance

Travel Insurance is a must for safety reasons. Although this is a lower elevated trek, of course there is some risk. You might need an emergency evacuation in areas where roads and hospitals are not accessible in that case, you need to have a travel insurance. We encourage to travel insurance in your own home country.

Accomodation

At Aspiration Adventure, We believe that the accommodation is one of the major factor that enhances your overall travel experience. In Kathmandu you will be accommodate in deluxe properties and standard, clean, comfortable teahouses /Lodge during the trek. All the Accommodations are on twin sharing basis. However, Single Supplement can be provided upon request at additional cost. Please be informed that Single Supplement are easily available in Kathmandu but during trekking especially in higher altitude may not be feasible to get a single room. The rooms in Kathmandu are fitted with air conditioners and have en-suite bathrooms with 24-hour hot water. Other amenities include wi-fi, well-appointed suites rooms, spa, fitness center, swimming pool, restaurants, bar, café etc. At higher elevations, there are only a few tea houses with basic facilities but, we make sure of best service available and you will feel difference in accommodation. Love this trip, but feel it too expensive? Please inquiry us, we have the option to make the package more reasonable. We are flexible and happy to make that trip happen.

    Unforgettable Everest trekking experience

    Everest trekking experience was amazing and very rewarding as we made it to the top. Our guide & the company was the main reason why everything went so smoothly andtimely.
