Best Time for Trek
Spring during the month of (March, April, May) and Autumn Season during the month of (September, October, and November) are regard as the best time for trekking in Nepal, and so does Everest Base Camp. During these spring and autumn season you will find moderate temperatures and provide better view of mountains, less heat haze cloud and clear views of mountains. Although this trip is achievable during winter and monsoon seasons too, though it is not suitable for everyone. In winter season, the months of (December, January and February) surrounding along the Hills and peaks are fully covered by snow in the mountains. The trekking trail is blocked in a few areas of the upper parts of the trek. Whereas, In the monsoon season (June, July and August), rain may affect the trek.
Required Fitness Level
Everest Base Camp Trek 16 Days difficulty level is challenging, and so it is equally rewarding. It is moderate to Strenuous hiking on mountain paths, covering 3 to 9 miles per day on rugged terrain. These trek is suitable for keen trekkers who are able to walk for 4 to 6 hours in a day, with a light rucksack. There are 11 days walking with full porterage throughout the trekking and all there is left to worry about is your water, snacks and camera. It is suitable for anyone with moderate fitness level for relative newcomers and first times to highly experienced hikers. Past trekking or walking experience would be an asset but not required to have any technical experience only that you need be in good physical condition and able to walk for 4 – 6 hours per day. Trekking route consists of hills and flat-lands, you will mostly walk up-hill and down-hill with some steep portion. We recommend undertaking a gym training and practice morning jogging and exercise with hike 6-8 weeks prior to embarking on the trek.
Drinking Water options
It is advice drinking 3 to 4 liters of water each day to stay well hydrated. You should consume if you are not thirsty. The water is available at every trekking lodge or grocery shops along the route, buying a bottle mineral water cost anywhere around 1 USD per litres. However, Aspiration Adventure recommend not buying bottled water due to environment concern and advice you to carry a reusable water bottle that can hold both hot and cold water. You can refill the water from the freely available taps or water source and use water purification tools such as water filter, purification drugs (chlorine/Iodine), SteriPEN (UV Water Purifier). During the trek, Water is necessary as it might be replaced as oxygen in such a high altitude.
Flight and Transportation
In this trip, Aspiration Adventure provides all the necessary transportation on private car and regular airlines flight to Lukla. Firstly we provide free arrival and departure service, Please let us know about your international flight for this service. On Arrival Day, you will be warmly welcome by our representative by traditional flower and transfer to respective hotel. For the valley sightseeing you will be in the private vehicle. For the Lukla flight, you will have the Private car for the airport to hotel pick and drop off. Our flights to and from Lukla are through regular airlines twin Otter and Dornier.
Visa and Passport
If you are travelling to Nepal for (tour, sightseeing, travel, trekking, mountaineering, visiting friends and families) then you need to have a visa to enter Nepal. Visa is available at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu’s where you can simply get the “On Arrival Visa” with the application that require at least a passport of 6 months’ validity, and a passport size photo. You will be charged USD $ 30 for 15 days and USD $ 50 for 30 days as visa application fee which have to be paid in cash on arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport. For those tourists who have Indian and Chinese passports then you do not need a visa (Free Visa). Most visitors will be able to obtain a visa upon arrival at the airport. The Certain country (Nigeria, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Swaziland, Cameroon, Somalia, Liberia, Ethiopia, Iraq, Palestine, Afghanistan, Syria) are requested to acquire Visa prior their arrival from their local Diplomatic missions (Embassies/Consulates) of Nepal Government.
Everest Region Permits and Requirements
Every trekkers who are willing to Everest Base Camp Trekking requires permits which are Sagarmatha National Park entry permit, Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality Entrance Permit, and TIMS Permit. Please be noted that, you do not have to worry and pay extra for permit. It is organized and provided in the package by Aspiration Adventure – All of these permit are included in cost and we will take care of it.
Travel Insurance
Travel Insurance is compulsory for Everest Base Camp Trekking. All the trekkers must provide the travel insurance policy certificate to Aspiration Adventure. This is high-altitude trek and quite challenging which means it comes with the risks of altitude sickness and and other unforeseen events. Travel Insurance policy must cover medical and emergency repatriation including helicopter rescue and evacuation expenses at high altitudes. In case of emergencies, we will be using the insurance policy and informational documents you sent us to operate the quick operation. Travel Insurance comes handy in these unexpected situations by covering all of the costs of treatments, medics, and helicopter rescue.
Within the event of an emergency, We will utilize the insurance policy and other documents you given to organize a convenient and viable protect operation, exchange to the clinic for crisis therapeutic help, and so on. It would be ideal if you guarantee that the rescue at the greatest elevation of the trekking is covered by your insurance company.

Accomodation
At Aspiration Adventure, We believe that the accommodation is one of the major factor that enhances your overall travel experience. We will accommodate you in the luxurious Hotel in Kathmandu and standard, clean, comfortable luxury Lodge/Guesthouse during the trek. All the Accommodations are on twin sharing basis. However, Single Supplement can be provided upon request at additional cost. Please be informed that Single Supplement are easily available in Kathmandu but during trekking especially in higher altitude may not be feasible to get a single room. The rooms in Kathmandu are fitted with air conditioners and have en-suite bathrooms with 24-hour hot water. Other amenities include wi-fi, well-appointed suites rooms, spa, fitness center, swimming pool, restaurants, bar, café etc. At higher elevations, there are only a few facilities but, we make sure of best service available and you will feel difference in accommodation. Love this trip, but feel it too expensive? Please enquiry us, we have the option of using other Hotels, regular flight instead of Helicopter to make the package more reasonable. We are flexible and happy to make that trip happen.
