Dhampus is a small but magnificent Gurung village and gateway of Annapurna Conservation Area and entry point of Annapurna Ghorepani Poonhill Trek, Annapurna Base Camp Trek and many more. Sarangkot lies at an elevation of 1590m to the northwest of Pokhara. After Breakfast at Hotel, we set out for a sighsteeing of Kathmandu Valley as per our itinerary includes the tour of Pashupatinath temple, Swayambhunath, Boudhanath Stupa and Kathmandu Durbar Square. Instead of Kathmandu Durbar Sqaure you will have option to visit Patan Durbar Square. All these sites are listed in UNESCO World Heritage Site list. Pashupatinath Temple is considered one of the holiest place for the Hindus built in pagoda style and site is a collection of temples, ashrams, images, inscriptions and the cremation ceremony of the Hindus can be seen along the Bagmati’s river bank. Swayambhunath Stupa is located at top of hill which is believed to be around 2500 years old. The four sides structure represents the four elements of earth, fire, wind and water. There are 365 steps passing through which you will reach the holy site or there is option of driving. Bouddhanath Stupa is one of the oldest and biggest monument built in the Himalayan nation. Explore around the inspiring white dome reverberate with energy; observe and send a prayer where you wish. on each side are a pair of the all-seeing-eyes of the Buddha symbolizing awareness, look around for souvenirs. Kathmandu Durbar Square is also known as Hanuman Dhoka Palace. Many temples which are dedicated to different Hindu deities. Most of the buildings here were constructed from the 15th – 18th century. The palace is named after the Hindu god Hanuman, who is regarded as the protector of the entire palace. The Durbar Square of Kathmandu holds many old palaces, buildings, temples and statues from medieval times. Unique Nepali architecture, amazing wood-crafting, stone and metal works, rare carvings done on their doors and windows. After the tour, you will return back to the hotel.

After Breakfast, You will take from Kathmandu to Pokhara which takes around 6 Hours. (You also have a flight option from Kathmandu to Pokhara which takes 25 minutes.) As you move forward to Pokhara, the landscape changes and you will observe different villages, small settlements and green forests with terraced farms. Upon your arrival in Pokhara, Check-In at 5-Star Hotel. Free time on your own to take rest after these long drive or stroll around the City. After Breakfast at Hotel, We Begin 1 hour drive to Phedi (950m) in Private Vehicle then start our hike towards Dhampus. The trail is easy mostly uphill through cultivated fields, dense forest and local villages. 3-4 Hours of Hike bring us to Dhampus village that offers spectacular mountains views with local culture. You also get the best sunset and sunrise view along with majestic view of Mt. Fishtail, Annapurna and Manaslu Range. Overnight at Luxury Lodge in Dhampus.

Early in the Morning you can have the mesmerizing golden view with sunshine of mountain peaks. After Breakfast at Lodge, We begin our trek to Sarangkot (1720m). The trekking trail descends down to Dhampus River and after crossing small suspension bridge we reach Naudanda village. Then trail follows the easy path along hill ridge that brings us to Sarangkot. After 4-5 Hours Trek we reach Sarangkot where, You can experience the best sunrise and sunset view point along with wonderful glimpse of the Pokhara city. Early morning sunrise view from Sarangkot and get back to hotel for Breakfast. We enjoy our breakfast with the view of the Pokhara city and the Fewa lake. Sarangkot is the place to fly down to Pokhara with paragliding so if we would like to fly, Please let us know (available at extra cost) otherwise, We will get back to Pokhara by three hours trek or drive back to Pokhara. We cross Phewa Lake by boating and Pokhara city sightseeing. Overnight at luxury hotel in Pokhara.

After Breakfast at Hotel, We Drive to Kathmandu by Private Vehicle. It takes us about 6-7 hours driving from Pokhara to Kathmandu. You want you can walk around the city and do shopping for your loved ones and relatives. In the evening, there will be a Farewell Dinner hosted by Aspiration Adventure at one of the Nepali authentic Nepalese restaurant with cultural show to celebrate the successful of trip. At Aspiration Adventure, We believe that the accommodation is one of the major factor that enhances your overall travel experience. On trip we have carefully selected high quality accommodation. During your trekking you will stay at best available mountain lodges in the Annapurna foothills. The lodges provide a high level of service with landscaped gardens, comfortable restaurant and staying in en suite rooms with comfortable beds with sheets, blankets, down pillows, hot water bottles and western toilets. We provide you 5-Star hotel accommodation in Kathmandu and Pokhara, undoubtedly the finest property in Kathmandu. All accommodations are on twin sharing basis. However, Single Supplement can be provided upon request at additional cost. Love this trip, but feel it too expensive? Please enquiry us, we have the option of using other Hotels to make the package more reasonable. We are flexible and happy to make that trip happen.

Best Time for Trek

It is possible to do this Sarangkot Trek throughout the year, but Spring Season in the month of March, April, May and Autumn in the month of September, October, November, Early December are known as the best time for trekking. As during these time you will find moderate temperatures and provide better view of mountains, less heat haze cloud and clear views of mountains. Some parts of the route may be covered with snow during the winter season, due to which pathways may be slippery. Similarly, In the Monsoon season Rain and leeches will also be present.

Levels of Difficulty

This itinerary is pretty easier and can be done without previous experience. It is one of the easier trip experience in Annapurna Region without missing comfort that can be done from the 7 years young to 80 years old. It is mountain trip so reasonable fitness level is required to walk for the 4 to 5 hours per day for 3 days. The highest elevation during the trek is at 2045m so there is no worry about altitude sickness.
