To begin you will Fly from Kathmandu to Paro International Airport, where you will be greeted by our guide. You will be transfer to Thimpu Valley which is about one and half hour drive. In Thimpu Sightseeing of National Memorial Chorten, a prominent Buddhist stupa dedicated to world peace. Visit Folk Heritage Museum to get the glimpse of lifestyle, artifacts, and items created by rural areas people, Textile Museum to learn about Bhutan traditional arts and crafts. Visit the Tashichho Dzong, a majestic fortress where the Bhutanese monarch's throne room and other government buildings are located. Finshing the day you can leisurely walk along Thimphu main street and explore the market.

Along the Sightseeing of cultural places you will pass through the green forest, savor the view of the majestic mountains and lush hills as you inhale the fresh air. Drive from Thimpu to Punakha includes stopover at Dochu La mountain pass adorned with a temple atop a hill and 108 miniature stupa. Driving Back to Paro through Wangdiphodrang you will have to be prepare for the next day hike to Taktsang Monastery. Drive to Kathmandu Airport for flight to Paro. The flight into the Himalayas reveals scenic and breathtaking views of Himalayan Mountains of the world. If weather permits you will be able to see Mt Everest (8848m, 29,198ft) and other Himalayan mountain ranges, (if you are flying from Kathmandu). Experience exciting approach through the Bhutanese foothills and the landing, including a few steep turns to land at the tiny airstrip of Paro. Upon arrival in Paro, clear customs and immigration. Keep your copy of the visa clearance letter handy. You will be received by your Bhutanese guide and transfer to Thimphu. Stroll around the city in the evening. Overnight at Hotel

After Breakfast, Visit Trashichhoedzong, the beautiful medieval fortress/monastery which houses most of the Government’s office and King’s Throne room It is also the summer residence of Je Khenpo, the Chief Abbot. Then visit National Library which has vast collection of ancient Buddhist texts and manuscripts. After that drive to Arts & Crafts School, famous for traditional thangkha paintings. Here you will see, students at work producing intricate design on cloth. Later visit Textile and Folk Heritage Museums, a fascinating testimony of the Bhutanese material culture and living traditions. After lunch visit Handicrafts Emporium which displays wide assortment of beautifully hand-woven and crafted products. Then drive to Memorial Chorten, the stupa built in the memory of Bhutan’s Third King who is popularly regarded as Father of modern Bhutan. The paintings and statues inside this monument provide a deep insight into Buddhist philosophy. Late afternoon drive to Punakha across Dochula pass (3,080m ). Overnight at the hotel in Punakha.

After breakfast visit Punakha Dzong, Built strategically at the junction of Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers in 1637 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal to serve as the religious and administrative centre of the region, Punakha Dzong has played an important role in Bhutan’s history. Damaged by four catastrophic fires and an earthquake, the Dzong has now been fully restored. Then drive to Wangdiphodrang visiting Dzong and local market. The district of Wangdiphodrang is also famous for its bamboo products, slate and stone carvings. After lunch drive to Paro with a short stop at Dochula pass. En route visit Simtokha Dzong, the oldest fortress of the Kingdom built in 1627, it now houses the School for Buddhist studies. Overnight at the hotel in Paro.

After breakfast take an excursion to Taktsang Monastery, the most famous of Bhutanese monasteries. The excursion to monastery takes about 5 hours for round trip. Afternoon visit Ta Dzong, the National Museum of the Kingdom. Originally built as Watch Tower since 1967 it is acting as the National Museum of the country and holding fascinating collection of art, artifacts, thangkha paintings and Bhutan’s exquisite postage stamp. Then walk down the trail to visit Rinpung Dzong which has a long and fascinating history. Visit Farmhouse and take hot stone bath: Eating, taking bath and staying for a night at a local farmhouse gives a different variation, and a chance to see the inside of such a home, rather than just the brightly decorated exteriors. If you take hot stone bath and eat in the farm house it will cost extra US$25 per person. Later stroll around the town and see how locals live. Overnight at the hotel in Paro.

Most hotels are equipped with Television, Room Service, Fitness Centers, Spas and Wi-fi. However the exact services available will vary from hotel to hotel. We ensure to provide you best standard accommodation. Only Paro, Jakar, Gangtey, Punakha, and Thimphu have five -star hotels, while across the rest of the country international standard 3-4 star hotels can be found. Getting into Bhutan

There are two way to reach Bhutan either from overland or by flight:

  • Traveling by Air: The one and only international airport situated in Paro connects several destinations such as Kathmandu, Bangkok, Singapore, Dhaka, Delhi, Kokotta, Guwahati, Bagdogra and etc. Paro airport is situtated at an elevation of 2225m above the sea level. There are only two airlines (Druk and Bhutan air) are operating to and from Paro airport. The flight is the best way to connect to Bhutan from several destinations of south Asia.
  • Traveling by Land: Phuentsholing, Samdruk Jongkhar and Gelephu are the along the southern borders of India that are only open border crossing to the international tourists in Bhutan.

Bhutan Visa Clearance

Tourists other than India, Bangladesh and Maldives citizens need to obtain a Bhutan Visa Clearance prior to the travel to Bhutan. Visa is processed through tour operator or any international travel agent/partner. The Bhutanese Tourist Visa Fee is USD 40 per person which is included in the package price. Additionally, other fess is Sustainable Development Fee (SDF), which is $200 per day per person. It takes 7 working days to get the visa.

You will be required to send color copy of your passport (Photo Page) to apply for your visa. The passport must be valid for at least 6 month from the travel date. During the point of entry, you will be required to show your Bhutan Visa Clearance copy to the officer who will stamp into your passport with an entry details. No additional visa fee is required to pay at the immigration. Bhutan Visa Clearance copy is approved by TBC along with your complete personal information and passport details. Your entry/exit details and places to visit have been clearly mentioned on the Visa Clearance Letter. So that it is required to bring the copy while boarding on and must be shown at the immigration of Bhutan along with your original passport. We, Aspiration Adventure, are responsible for sending your application to the Tourism Council.

Best Time to Visit  Bhutan

The best seasons to visit Bhutan are from March to May (Spring) and from September to November (Autumn). Bhutan festivals also falls under this time, the weather is warmer and perfect. Having said that, June to August (Summer season) and December to February (Winter  season) has its own allures and attractions.

Tour guides have years of expertise, fluent in English, and are certified by the Bhutan Tourism Council.   • No, according to Bhutan's tourist policy, independent travel is not permitted. You must arrange your Bhutan tour through a certified Bhutanese travel operator or one of their foreign affiliates, according to Bhutanese government laws. It is not possible to get entry visa to go Bhutan unless you pre-arranged tour itinerary with a licensed and approved tour operator and pay the appropriate nightly all inclusive government tariff. Tourist can reach there by buying package tour before reaching there with government approved companies. Bhutan government avoid the independent visitors to maintain its strict culture and ecological value. However, you can enjoy the flexibility during the Sightseeing, hiking and interact with locals as you wish.
