Ghorepani Poonhill Luxury Trek and Chitwan Jungle Safari Tour begins in Kathmandu, the hearts of Nepalese culture and the interesting heritage site. Here you will spend day observing the bustling city streets where you pass by timeless shrines on one side and other side local peddles authentic handicrafts. Trek Route of Poonhill Luxury Trek

Poon Hill trek Start from Nayapul after one hour drive from Pokhara. The trails Start from Nayapul and crosses the Modi Khola following a trek to Hile and finally leading you to Tikhedhunga. This treks give you access to classic viewpoint of Annapurna range such as: Dhaulagiri (8167m), Tukuche Peak(6920m), Mt. Annapurna (8091m), Annapurna South (7219m), Annapurna III(7855m), Machhapuchhre (6993m), Annapurna IV (7525m), Lamjung Himal(6931m) and so on.

Trekking is highlighted with Early Morning Hike to Poonhill to see sunrise view over Himalayan range. It take around 45 minutes to reach Poon Hill and the trail is absolutely pleasant to walk on. After impressive sunrise and Mountain view get return back to Ghorepani and heads towards to Ghandruk via Tadapani. The way up to Poon Hill is full of fauna and flora, small temples, dense forest, and Mani walls. After Breakfast at Hotel, we set out for a sightseeing of Kathmandu Valley as per our itinerary includes the tour of Pashupatinath temple, Swayambhunath, Boudhanath Stupa and Patan Durbar Square. Which are listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site. Swayambhunath Stupa is located at top of hill which is believed to be around 2500 years old. The four sides structure represents the four elements of earth, fire, wind and water. There are 365 steps passing through which you will reach the holy site or there is option of driving. Pashupatinath Temple is considered one of the holiest place for the Hindus and site is a collection of temples, ashrams, images, inscriptions and the cremation ceremony of the Hindus can be seen along the Bagmati’s river bank. Bouddhanath Stupa is one of the oldest and biggest monument built in the Himalayan nation. Explore around the inspiring white dome reverberate with energy; observe and send a prayer where you wish. The Durbar Square of patan holds many old palaces, buildings, temples and statues from medieval times. Unique Nepali architecture, amazing wood-crafting, stone and metal works, rare carvings done on their doors and windows. After the sightseeing, you will return back to the hotel. After Breakfast at hotel, Kathmandu to approx 3 to 4 hours drive to rafting starting point (Charaudi) 85KM. Easy Rafting for 3 to 4 hours, you will be given time to rest. In the Morning wake up followed by Tea/coffee. Afterward, raft guide will take you for village tour, back to resort take breakfast and get ready rafting which hit a class 2 or 3 rapids "BIJILI RAPID" and "TEA POT". After breakast we take drive to Nayapul, from where the trek begins! Drive offers best view of Annapurna Himalayan range with terraced landscapes. After short walk along the banks of Modi Khola, we reach Birethanti (1065m) and follows the east bank of Bhurungdi Khola. In Birethanti, our trekking guide will quickly complete the necessary check in formalities at the office of ACAP. The trail climb steadily along the side of the valley until you reach Tikhedhunga (1570m) via Hille (1495m). Lunch will be eaten en route. Today’s walk is relatively short and easy with walking distance of 4 hours. Overnight at standard lodge in Tikhedunga. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)

After breakfast you will continue trek to Ghorepani via Ulleri Village. Firstly, We reach Ulleri (2,080 m/6,824 ft), climbing more than 3000 stone paved step. After a short walk from Ulleri, the trail goes beyond the wonderful forest of Rhododendron and Oak, Passing through the Banthanti and Nangethati will take us to Ghorepani - a gateway to Poon Hill. Ghorepani lies at the height of 2860m and takes approximately 5 hours to reach from Tikhedhunga. During winter months, the trail can be covered with snow. Check-In at Lodge then, admire the amazing mountains views of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri range to the north and west with cup of coffee/tea. Overnight at the standard guesthouse in Ghorepani. Today, We wake up early in the morning before the sunrise. You will be wake up by guide to take you to the marvelous viewpoint of the trip. It takes about 45 minutes to reach the view point of the Poon Hill from Ghorepani. Hike to Poonhill gives us breathtaking views of Mt. Dhaulagiri, Tukuche Peak, Dhampus Peak, Nilgiri, Annapurna including Mt. Machhapuchare, Hiunchuli, Manaslu, Lamjung and many more. Grab a cup of tea/coffee and enjoy the awe-inspiring views. After, spending wonderful time we return back to Ghorepani, take a hot breakfast and continue trek to Tadapani. Today trek is long but the path is wonderful along the view of Mountains and village settlement. We descend to the Banthanti, then turn off to Tadapani. Overnight at standard guesthosue in Tadapani. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)

Today is an easier day, wake up to a late breakfast and Begin our trek to Ghandruk. From Tadapani the trail descends through the forest of Ghandruk(1940m). Ghandruk famous destination where all the Gurung community residing here and home to many Gorkha soldiers. You will be reaching at Ghandruk on Lunch time passing numerous of temples, waterfalls, museum, mini-settlements and handicraft centers. Take rest and explore the village, museum and Gurung Culture. Get the views of mountains Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Gangapurna, Annapurna III and Fishtail. Overnight at standard lodge in Ghandruk. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner Included)

Today is our last day in Annapurna region. Enjoy the trek! We trek back to Pokhara via Birethanti and Nayapul. The trails begins from Ghandrunk and drops down to the Modi River crossing Imle, Chane and Kimche. While you take short rest at Birethanti our guide will complete the checkout formalities at ACAP office and trek to Nayapul then get back to Pokhara by Private Vehicle. Upon arrival in Pokhara, Check in Hotel and enjoy completation of trek in relaxed lakeside town. You can find plenty of cafés, restaurants, Pubs with live music and yoga studios. Overnight at Luxury Hotel in Pokhara.

The ride to Chitwan takes about 3-4 hours. You will follow the Prithvi Highway and Siddhartha Highway to reach the Chitwan National Park. Upon arrival ta Chitwan, we freshen up and have lunch at the resort. After short rest, local jungle guide takes you to walk around the tharu village or you can take Ox ride to explore around. In the evening enjoying the sunset view from the bank of the Rapti river and you will also witness Tharu cultural dance performed by the local villagers. Overnight at Hotel in Chitwan. We will accommodate you in the luxurious 4-star hotel, in Kathmandu and Chitwan features well-appointed suites rooms and many more facilities. During the trekking standard, clean and comfortable teahouses during the trek. All the Accommodations are on twin sharing basis. However, Single Supplement can be provided upon request at additional cost. Please be informed that Single Supplement are easily available in Kathmandu but during trekking especially in higher altitude may not be feasible to get a single room. Love this trip, but feel it too expensive? Please enquiry us, we have the option of using other Hotels that may include 3 or 4 to make the package more reasonable. Best Time for Trip

You are welcome for Poonhill Luxury Trek Itinerary any time of the year. This trip can be done throughout the year but Spring Season in the month of March, April, May and Autumn in the month of September, October, and November are known as the best season. During this month the weather you can enjoy the fresh air, clear mountain view and pleasant sunrise. However, this trip is can also be done in winter, which runs from December, January, and February. Summer/monsoon season which runs from July to August is neither good nor bad to make this trip.

Visa Requirements

If you are travelling to Nepal for (tour, sightseeing, travel, trekking, mountaineering, visiting friends and families) then you need to have a visa to enter Nepal. Arrival Visa is available at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu’s where you can simply get the “On Arrival Visa” with the application that require at least a passport of 6 months’ validity, and a passport size photo. You will be charged USD $ 30 for 15 days and USD $ 50 for 30 days as visa application fee which have to be paid in cash on arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport. For those tourists who have Indian and Chinese passports then you do not need a visa (Free Visa). Most visitors will be able to obtain a visa upon arrival at the airport. The Certain country (Nigeria, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Swaziland, Cameroon, Somalia, Liberia, Ethiopia, Iraq, Palestine, Afghanistan, Syria) are requested to acquire Visa prior their arrival from their local Diplomatic missions (Embassies/Consulates) of Nepal Government.

Trekking Grade

Annapurna Ghorepani Poonhill Trek itinerary is pretty easier and can be done without previous experience. It is one of the easier trekking experience in Annapurna Region that can be done from young to old age. It is high mountain trekking so reasonable fitness level is required. It is physically quite moderate which involves approximately 5 to 6 hours trekking along the way. You should be in good physical fitness and have experience of multi day trekking. The trekking days are only for the 5 days from Pokhara to Pokhara, while the sightseeing it is just a minutes walking distance.

    Trip of a lifetime

    Annapurna and Chitwan in Luxury !! Fantastic way to see Nepal

    Wonderful Trip in Himalayas - this was our first visit to Nepal, We were only a group of 7 and felt like a very personal trip. we were definitely able to experience a lot within the time. Great varied holiday, from kathmandu city visits, trekking in the foothills of the Himalayas and a jungle safari to see the rhino. From Arrival in Kathmandu to mountain lodges of Annapurna, such wonderful hospitality made it all worth and all the arrangement was great. Everyone is so friendly - we Namaste'd a lot! A very talented Guide/Trekking Leader that we highly recommend ! Thanks for a superb experience !
